There are many components of the Joining Forces Initiative to support military families, but License Portability is a key in increasing credential connectivity, portability and transferability.
The First Lady and Dr. Biden issued a call to action to all 50 U.S. governors to take executive or legislative action to streamline state licensing for service members, veterans, and their spouses by the end of 2015. As of July 20, all 50 states have answered this call by passing legislation that streamlines the ability for service members and veterans to obtain civilian certification and licensure.
