Please read this Privacy Policy, as well as our Website Terms of Use, for more details about how we use information you submit to this web site located at https://www.connectingcredentials.org (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy, together with the Website Terms of Use, constitute the entire agreement between you and Connecting Credentials relating to this Site. By your use of the Site, you consent to be governed by this Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time. Your continued use of the Site following reasonable notice of such modifications will be conclusively deemed acceptance of any changes to this Privacy Policy. You agree that notice of changes to the Privacy Policy posted on the Site constitutes reasonable and sufficient notice. At all times, you are bound by the then-current version of the Privacy Policy and all applicable laws. We highly recommend that you review this privacy Policy from time to time to ensure that you are familiar with the most recent version.
Personal Information Provided by You
Connecting Credentials only collects your personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) through this Site when you choose to provide such information or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy only applies to information collected on this Site, and does not address personal information that you provide to us in other contexts (e.g., through a business relationship not handled through the Site). Personal Information can include your name, address, telephone number, and/or email address. Connecting Credentials uses your Personal Information to address your requests for information, products or services, and may use it at some point in the future to fulfill business transactions. Connecting Credentials will not sell, rent, license, or trade your Personal Information with third parties for their own direct marketing use unless you give us general or specific consent to do so. Any change to this Privacy Policy that materially affects your rights to your Personal Information will not take effect until 30 days after notice of such change is posted on the Site, during which time you may notify us that you do not accept such change. Your continued use of the Site after such 30 day period will mean that you accept such changes.
Connecting Credentials may disclose Personal Information in connection with conducting audits, responding to legal and/or regulatory requirements, enforcing Connecting Credentials’ policies, or in responding to complaints or safety or security concerns. Connecting Credentials may also share your Personal Information with: (a) members of Connecting Credentials’ corporate family and any successors; (b) other companies or organizations that work with, or on behalf of Connecting Credentials to provide products and services; (c) law enforcement or other governmental officials, in response to a verified request relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity; and/or (d) other business entities, in connection with the sale, assignment, merger or other transfer of Connecting Credentials’ business to such business entity. Connecting Credentials will disclose Personal Information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Automatically Collected Information and Anonymous Information
Each time a visitor comes to the Site, Connecting Credentials collects some information to improve the overall quality of the visitor’s online experience, including product/service monitoring, product/service improvement, and targeted advertising. Such information may include referral data (e.g., the address of the last URL a user visited prior to clicking through to the Site) and your web browser and operating platform type.
- Aggregated Data: In addition to collecting these types of information, Connecting Credentials collects aggregate queries for internal reporting and targeted advertising. Connecting Credentials also counts, tracks, and aggregates the visitor’s activity into Connecting Credentials’ analysis of general traffic flow at the Site. To these ends, Connecting Credentials may merge information about you into aggregated group data and other databases. In some cases, Connecting Credentials may remove personal identifiers from Personal Information and maintain it in aggregate form that may later be combined with other information to generate anonymous, aggregated statistical information. Such anonymous, group data may be shared on an aggregated basis with Connecting Credentials’ affiliates, business partners, service providers and/or vendors; if it does so, Connecting Credentials will not disclose your individual identity (except as permitted under this Privacy Policy).
- Web Server Logs and IP Addresses: An Internet Protocol (“IP”) address is a number that automatically identifies the computer/machine you have used to access the Internet. The IP address enables our server to send you the webpages that you want to visit, and it may disclose the server owned by your Internet Service Provider. Connecting Credentials may use IP addresses to conduct Site analyses and performance reviews and to administer the Site.
- Cookies and Web Beacons: Cookies are pieces of information that a web site transfers to a user’s computer for purposes of storing information about a user’s preferences. Cookies in and of themselves do not personally identify users, although they do identify a user’s computer. Many web sites use cookies as a standard practice to provide useful features when a user visits the site and most web browsers are set up to accept cookies. Connecting Credentials uses cookies to improve your online experience when visiting the Site. Some third-party advertisers may use their own cookies. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but some portions of the Site may not work properly if you refuse cookies. Some of Site’s web pages may use web beacons in conjunction with cookies to compile aggregate statistics about Site usage. A web beacon is an electronic image (also referred to as an “action tag,” “single-pixel,” or “clear GIF”) that is commonly used to track the traffic patterns of users from one web page to another in order to maximize web traffic flow and to otherwise analyze the effectiveness of web sites. Some web beacons may be unusable if you elect to reject their associated cookies.
We may serve ads on third party services that are targeted to reach people on those services that are identified on one of more of our data bases. This is done by matching common factors between our data bases and the data bases of third party operators. If we use Twitter conversion tracking and tailored audience products, you can opt-out through your account settings on Twitter. If you opt-out from Twitter conversion tracking and tailored audience products, you will be removed from that list; however, this will not take effect immediately and if you have multiple e-mails or other accounts you may have to opt-out separately for each one. We are not responsible for such third party services’ failure to comply with your or our opt-out instructions.

The Site contains links to third party web sites that may offer information of interest. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those web sites, and Connecting Credentials recommends reviewing those web sites’ privacy policies individually. As discussed in Connecting Credentials’ Website Terms of Use, Connecting Credentials is not responsible for the content at these third party sites.
Security
Connecting Credentials has established reasonable precautions to protect collected Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, which include contractual, administrative, physical, and technical steps. Please note that although Connecting Credentials has endeavored to create a secure and reliable Site for users, the confidentiality of any communication or material transmitted to/from the Site cannot be guaranteed.
Connecting Credentials urges you to take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet.

Connecting Credentials understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy in the interactive online world. The Site is not designed for, or intentionally targeted at, children 13 years of age or younger. It is not our policy to intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 13.
