Automatically Collected Information and Anonymous Information
Each time a visitor comes to the Site, Connecting Credentials collects some information to improve the overall quality of the visitor’s online experience, including product/service monitoring, product/service improvement, and targeted advertising. Such information may include referral data (e.g., the address of the last URL a user visited prior to clicking through to the Site) and your web browser and operating platform type.
- Web Server Logs and IP Addresses: An Internet Protocol (“IP”) address is a number that automatically identifies the computer/machine you have used to access the Internet. The IP address enables our server to send you the webpages that you want to visit, and it may disclose the server owned by your Internet Service Provider. Connecting Credentials may use IP addresses to conduct Site analyses and performance reviews and to administer the Site.
We may serve ads on third party services that are targeted to reach people on those services that are identified on one of more of our data bases. This is done by matching common factors between our data bases and the data bases of third party operators. If we use Twitter conversion tracking and tailored audience products, you can opt-out through your account settings on Twitter. If you opt-out from Twitter conversion tracking and tailored audience products, you will be removed from that list; however, this will not take effect immediately and if you have multiple e-mails or other accounts you may have to opt-out separately for each one. We are not responsible for such third party services’ failure to comply with your or our opt-out instructions.
Connecting Credentials has established reasonable precautions to protect collected Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, which include contractual, administrative, physical, and technical steps. Technical measures include use of firewall protection and in some instances may include encryption technology. Although Connecting Credentials takes reasonable precautions to assess the reliability of such technology, it relies on the statements of the vendors of those products and services as part of its security evaluation. Please note that although Connecting Credentials has endeavored to create a secure and reliable Site for users, the confidentiality of any communication or material transmitted to/from the Site cannot be guaranteed.
Connecting Credentials urges you to take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet.
